Q-: Give a character sketch of Serivan.
Ans-: Introduction-
A golden bowl is a nice story which has been selected from Jatak Tales. Serivan is a main character of this story. Serivan lived In the kingdom of Seri. He bought and sold pots and pans.
A truthful, Honest and Gentle man-:
One day an old woman called Serivan in
her house. She asked him to give her grand daughter a plate in exchange of bowl. Serivan took the bowl in his hand. He was surprised to see that it was made of pure gold.He told the woman that her bowl was made of pure gold .He told the truth to the old woman that he had not much money to buy it.Thus he showed his honesty,truthfulness and gentleness.
A fearless person-: Serivan was a fearless person.He did not mind the insults and shoutings of the greedy seller.
Conclusion-: The above qualities of Serivan‘s character indicate his
honesty,truthfulness and gentleness.
