Ans-: Socrates was a Greek philosopher .He lived in Athens .He was ugly and undersized .He had a flat nose and bulging eyes .the writer calls him the greates of all Greek because Socrates did not want either wealth or beautiful
possessions.He wanted Athens to be a perfect state .and this could only happen if every citizen educated his own mind to see what was right and noble.He was very courageous .He advised his followers and children to be silent and have patience.Soerates loved to talk to the young men in the street .He questioned them .He was a man of reason.He loved all that was noble ,honourable ,and just.He was fearless. He was blamed for misleading the youth .So he was condemned to death.0ver all we can say that he was the greatest of all Greeks.ln his character there are many qualities which can not be written in a short note.
