Ans-: Kublai Khan was the grand son of the famous Mongol, Genghis Khan.He was the emperor of China.He was very impressed with Marco Polo when he came to know that Marco Polo learnt Mongol Ianguage.He sent Marco Polo to many places on behalf of him.Kublai Khan became pleased when he brought the sacred tooth of Buddha 0n the trip to CeyIon and Kublai Khan made him the governer of Peking.He trusted Marco Polo so much.that he sent him with the noble man as they wanted to take trusted and experienced traveler with them.
Thus we see that Marco Polo was very reliable person for Kublai Khan.

Ans-: The travelers of 13 century faced many difficulties which has been given below.
People had to go on journey on foot by land. They traveled with large parties called Carvans.
They had to walk slowly because of atmosphere and fear.
Robbers looted their properties and killed them.
People had to travel in large parties otherwise they could get lost.
Generally they died in the lack a water and food.
These were the hardships which were faced by the people who traveled in the past. They had to face these problems.
